History
- March 1952Founded as Naka Seiki Works by Kozo Naka. Began manufacturing precision mechanical components.
- June 1967Incorporated as Naka Seiki Co., Ltd. with capital of 5 million yen. Kozo Naka appointed President.
- March 1980Capital doubled to 20 million yen.
- June 1980Established Okayama Plant in Aida District, Okayama Prefecture to expand production of VTR mechanism parts.
- April 1983Began manufacturing and sales of in-house developed products: Air Chuck, Naka Hand Press NH200, and NC machine tool spindles.
- September 1984Established Fuji Plant in Narusawa Village, Yamanashi Prefecture to meet increasing demand in the Kanto region.
- December 1988Entered into business partnership with Schmidt GmbH (Germany) and began importing and selling hand presses and air presses.
- October 1990Opened Dainichi Plant for in-house product manufacturing and precision grinding division.
- March 1996Masao Naka appointed President.
- April 1998Entered into business partnership with Minebea Co., Ltd. and began manufacturing and sales of new product "Loadstar" (hand press equipped with load cell).
- December 1999Entered into business partnership with Baltec AG (Switzerland) and began importing and selling precision riveting machines.
- October 2000Expanded Okayama Plant No. 4 in response to increased IT-related parts production. Opened Tokyo Sales Office.
- January 2001Established production base in China (Weihai Lianqiao Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., Shandong Province).
- June 2001Acquired ISO 9001 certification.
- March 2003Opened Nagoya Sales Office.
- January 2005Established joint venture Weihai Lianqiao Naka Precision Machinery Co., Ltd.
